Joaquin Phoenix ganhou seu primeiro Oscar neste domingo (9/02), como melhor ator, por seu trabalho como o vilão dos quadrinhos “Coringa”.
Ele já era o grande favorito, após vencer prêmios do Sindicato dos Atores, o Globo de Ouro e o Bafta. O filme “Jocker” foi teve 11 indicações ao Oscar, mas ganhou apenas mais um, o de trilha sonora original.
Joaquin Phoenix se tornou o segundo ator da história a receber o Oscar por um personagem que já havia recebido o prêmio antes. O Coringa de Heath Ledger ganhou como Melhor Ator Coadjuvante (póstumo) por seu trabalho em Batman: O Cavaleiro das Trevas, em 2009.
“Quando usamos amor e compaixão como nossos guias principais, nós criamos sistemas de mudança. Não quando nos cancelamos pelos erros do passado, mas quando nos guiamos para crescer, por redenção, esse é o melhor da humanidade.”, afirmou em seu discurso de agradecimento.

Joaquin Phoenix won his first Oscar this Sunday (9), as best actor, for his work as the comic book villain that gives the title “Joker”.
He was the big favorite in the category, after winning awards from the Actors Union, the Golden Globe and Bafta. The film, champion of nominations at 11, won just one Oscar, the original soundtrack.
Joaquin Phoenix became the second actor in history to receive an Oscar for a character who has previously received the award. Heath Ledger’s Joker won Best Supporting Actor for his work on Batman: The Dark Knight in 2009.
